Last Day of Summer
It's not the official last day of summer, but Labour Day is pretty close. Up at 3:30am, worked on a blog post for Symbiartic, breakfast with my wonderful wife and our boys, and a remarkable act of generosity from someone who enjoys my artwork (more on that another time) all set the tone for a bright day.
Michelle suggested we go for an early walk at the Brickworks, an old former quarry here in the heart of Toronto that's now given over to being a market and nature park. It's one of our favourite places in the city.
Already over 30C, we headed out. A few pictures and vines from today.
The Mellow Brothers hard at work.
Tomorrow I'm back at work at INVIVO as usual; Michelle returns part time to teaching; Calvin begins another school year; and Lochlan starts full time day care. Today, we've enjoyed exploring outdoors with turtles, grasshoppers, crickets, bees, blue jays, snails, milkweed, pond fish, and a bright green frog.
